Aliya Summary: The Torah sets the punishments for individuals who curse their parents and those who engage in prohibited sexual relations.
Ponder
a different perspective: Punishing those that perform these terrible
crimes is a positive commandment, on par with more "normal" commandments
of keeping Shabbat and helping those in need. Although justified and
necessary, how difficult must it be to dole out such punishments? By
extension, how great must the reward me for those that take on this
gruesome responsibility?
